The Avani Sea Bass Max Power PE X8 is the line VARIVAS built for lure fishing for bass, and it is a noticeably different feel in the hand from a standard braid. The PE material is around 1.5 times stronger than their usual grade, which lets them run a thinner diameter for the same breaking strain, and a thinner line means less drag in tide, better contact with the lure and a longer cast.
Over the weave sits VARIVAS’s SP-F fluororesin coating. It makes the surface extremely smooth, which is what buys the distance and, just as usefully, cuts down wind knots and tangles on a windy beach. The finish is Stealth Gray, low visibility in coloured water.
