Gosen built the Samon PE x8 for one job: long, accurate casting from the beach. It is an eight strand Japanese braid made on their MPX process, with a resin coating that keeps the surface slick through the guides and, importantly for a marked line, keeps the colours from washing out after a season of sand and salt.
The marking runs four colours at 25 metre intervals, so you can see at a glance how far the rig has gone and drop the next cast on the same patch of ground. Over 200 metres that gives you eight clear blocks to work with.

What it is good for
